ENGLISH BULL PAIGNTON 13 Judge: Mrs Ward BEST OF BREED : 1410 PULLEN Miss E Louka Gone Racin ENGLISH BULL JUDGE PAIGNTON 13 Bull Terriers Nice overall quality, some mouth faults & some more settled on the move would have changed some placings. JD (2) 1 Vanstone’s The Traveller at Annerylodge, not quite 9 months b/br/w, head coming with consideration of age, clean scissor bite, well boned, liked his front. Has the substance for bone at this stage of development, but when his rib & body mature will balance length of body more. Really good on the move, parallel both ways & had the advantage of showing his attributes more. BPD & RBD; 2 Whelan’s Lighting Bolts Boy, liked this 7 months white, nice body outline, ribs maturing with bone & substance giving overall shape, head nice in profile but needs to settle more especially on the move as lost out because of this, but this will come. PGD (1) 1 Malden’s Louka Kolor Koded, lots of shape & substance to this strong dog, good head shape, liked his eye placement & used his ears, stood solid on his front & lovely boned forelegs, not overdone on weight to match height. Standing I was very impressed, but disappointed on the move. OD (2) 1 Pullen’s Louka Gone Racin, loved the overall body shape & size to match on this smart b/br/w, strong head without being exaggerated, lovely gentle curve & strong scissor bite, solid front with the bone to match on forelegs, depth in withers with good spring of rib, not disappointed on backquarters well developed which showed on the move, covering the ground with ease both fore & aft. BOB & it was lovely for the breed when he took G2; 2 Martin & Vanstone’s Waybully Shadow Dancer, well named, this 8 years young white lad is full of Bully enthusiasm, danced in & around the ring but didn’t he have a beautiful head, well filled with a body that belied his age, still strong in bone, substance & muscle standing on strong legs, his character shone through. He loved his day out & what a pleasure to have him in the ring. JB (3) Both nice youngsters with varying stages of development in body & head. 1 Williams’ Cwmdulais Hentarw Black Dahlla, liked the ring & more settled this 10 months girl, because of colour the head needs to be examined to appreciate. Nice down face with a good eye & scissor bite, uses ears to advantage with a balance in neck & shoulders, bone in keeping with age, well arched compact feet, moved well both ways. BP; 2 Dodwell’s Bullyview Mobsta’s Maid, attractive 11 months r/w who I liked, good down face, attractive expression & had that little more bone & covering in keeping with age, liked her front & rib. Not quite as strong on hind movement but this will come as she matures. PGB (2) 1 Waycott’s Ukusa Rhapsody for Waybully, nicely balanced white with quarters to match overall body conformation, good head shape with depth, scissor bite & nice ear placement, liked her spring of rib & how she stood solid on her legs with compact feet to match, did not disappoint on the move. RBB; 2 Carter’s Loquitur Enchanter, lovely head shape, uses eyes & ears to enhance expression. Has the bone, just slightly longer in body but with age on her side feel this should balance when more substance comes. Not disappointing on the move. OB (2) 1 Carter’s Bulldon Kool Magic of Loquitur, strong headed lady without losing her femininity, depth to the muzzle, liked her eye, lovely piercing expression & used her ears, good overall body shape with rib & bone in proportion, moved with purpose both fore & aft. BB; 2 Malden’s Louka Frosty Lady, another lady with a lovely eye that followed you around, well on her toes, nice head. Not quite the width of 1, but little in it. Overall good substance to match body shape & liked her forequarters with bone & substance to balance. MAUREEN WARD |
