BENGLISH BULL MIDLAND COUNTIES 23 Judge: Bas Bosch [Belgium] Three days of judging, plenty to think about, to celebrate even. In all three rings involved the ring stewards proved to be a great support and they brought a lot of enjoyment. 1 Starcinco A Million Dreams (Bownes). Quality puppy, clean cut throughout. Excellent headpiece with lovely eyes, excellent fill, down face and underjaw, extra quality of teeth. Well-constructed, angulation front behind balanced, excellent topline, but tail set could be lower, very good spring of rib, strong feet, needs more bone. Light footed on the move showing excellent balance, correct coming and going. 1 Abenaki Dambuster (Curtis). Masculine, nicely balanced, short coupled dog. Strong headpiece, decent sized, well placed eye, expressive downface and finish, sufficient clean cheeks, excellent teeth, ear carriage okay. Very good bone, excellent feet, angulation front behind balanced, nice ribs, tail set a bit high. Impressive on the move. 2 Ragnarok One Step Beyond (Wilson). Big boy, rather long casted. Strong, masculine head, excellent eye, downface and finish. Very good bone and forechest, excellent ribs, angulation front behind belanced, tailset a bit high. Balanced movement. 1 Karmara’s Double Jeopardy (Karta-Williams & Williams). Big boy with a lot of ring presence. Lovely head carriage, masculine with strong downface and finish, bite could be better, excellent eyes and ears. Plenty of neck and forechest, clean bone, excellent ribs, top and underline, tail carriage could be better, rich condition. Moves with a decent drive and length of stride. Dog Reserve CC. 1 Irazistabull Star of Vulcan (McDonagh & McLeish). Massive build, extra masculine dog. Strong headpiece with lovely set and shaped eye, well filled, excellent bite, downface and finish. Angulation front behind balanced, very good fore-chest, bone and feet, excellent ribs and underline, excellent condition. Balanced mover. Dog CC and BOB. 2 Vetsbullies Living On My Own (Galla). Middle sized, short coupled dog, rather young looking still, could do with more masculinity. High quality head, truly excellent in all parts except for nose pigment. Decent angulated in front, a bit loose, would prefer less tension over the loin, sufficient angulated behind, excellent tail set. Balanced on the move with sufficient length of stride. 3 Archetype Wild Card (Gates). 1 Waybully Andromeda JW ShCMShCEx VW (Waycott). Full of life! Ring filling presence! Every inch an athlete not showing his age of nine years at all. Lovely carried head, very good fill, excellent downface and finish, expression affected by a rather large and round eye. Excellent topline and hindquarters, could do with a shorter coupling, dry condition. Impresses on the move. 1 Karmara’s Kiss and Tell at Winuwuk (Brown & Hutchings). Truly feminine, well developed given age, gleaming condition, would not mind to see a shorter coupling. Well developed head, excellent teeth and jaws, strong downface and finish, very good eyes and ears. Sufficient bone, very good feet, decent angulated front, nice rib shape but not ready yet, quality hindquarters, tail set and carriage, gleaming condition. Moves with drive. 1 Bilboen Renaissance (Mountain). Feminine bitch full of quality. Noble carried head excellent in all parts. Scoring excellent plus body-wise, would be even more impressive with a bit shorter coupling. Excellent movement. Best Puppy. 1 Phoenixscar Mythical Magic (Smithson). Full of presence, plenty to offer. Well carried head, excellent in all parts, except for muzzle length, could be more. Excellent bone, high quality feet, slightly loose in elbow, excellent hind quarters, tail set and carriage, condition a bit rich. Easy going and balanced on the move with a nice length of stride. 2 Archetype Tosheroon for Waybully JW (Waycott). Feminine bitch, nicely proportioned. Decent developed head, could do with more strength and length of muzzle, eye rather round, well carried ears. Very good bone, sufficient strong feet, strong back and loins, excellent underline, tail carriage affects the outline quite a bit. Correct on the move. 1 Astasia Emiko (Walker Jennings). Smaller sized bitch, full of presence, nicely balanced clean cut throughout. Truly feminine head, excellent downface and finish, eyes and ears affecting expression a bit, decent fill. Solid front, sufficient bone, very good feet, excellent top and underline, tail set could be a bit lower, but well carried on the move. Easy going, balanced mover. 1 Medusamyne Lovely Jubbly Pumpkin (ai) (Hirst). Finished picture, plenty of substance without losing femininity and nobility. Strong headpiece, excellent in all parts. Decent bone, feet could be better, excellent forechest, best of ribs, quality top and underline, excellent tail set and carriage, well-made behind with a nice low hock. Moves with drive and an impressive length of stride, correct coming and going. Bitch CC. 2 Ch Grande Finale of Briden (Smalley). Best head of the day, textbook expression. Truly feminine and nicely proportioned, but far from finished body-wise, giving quite a different picture when standing and on the move. Sufficient bone, excellent feet, decent angulated front, a bit loose in elbow, strong back and loins, decent spring of rib, has to drop in body still, very good tail set, excellent length. Balanced mover with decent length of stride, settling her topline nicely. Bitch Reserve CC. 3 Astasia Shiro Ojo (Walker Jennings). 1 Kirkby Glistening Snow (Davison). Plenty to offer still, giving her age of nine years. Strong head, excellent in all parts, including a strong and healthy set of teeth. Extra points for eyes and ears – really small and beautifully set. Very good bone, feet ok, excellent top and underline, nice tail set and carriage. Starting to show her age on the move. 1 Scantsbull Best Girl Brenda (Medlam). Excellent type and substance. Well carried head, feminine, nice downface and finish, decent fill, would prefer a bit more expression of chin and eye. Nice bone, feet ok, angulation front behind balanced. Correct movement coming and going. 2 Bilboen Renaissance (Mountain) 3 Archetype Tosheroon for Waybully JW (Waycott)
