ENGLISH BULL JUDGE LEEDS 19
It's been many, many years since the Bullies had tickets at Leeds Championship Show so I felt
extremely privileged to be asked to judge them. Special thanks must go to the exhibitors for the
most pleasing entry in both quality and numbers. Although the previous day’s record breaking
heatwave had subsided a little, being third in the ring meant the muggy temperature had begun to
rise again by lunchtime. Some dogs feeling the heat more than others, with some panting so hard
to keep cool.
Class 699 PD (2 Entries) Abs: 0
A case of chalk and cheese in my very first class,
1st: PLEASANTS Mr D & Mrs C, Bruneye Bismark For Casodon, 11 months brindle/white,
heavyweight in every sense of the word being rather more than a roly poly puppy but way ahead
of 2 on maturity . His head has plenty of fill with a small eye and good ear carriage, chunky all
through his movement was rather laboured, the heat really getting to him BP.
2nd: MOORE Mrs T, Tilleah Brilliant Disguise, white at 7 months, not quite the finish in the head of
1st although I liked his overall structure he’s very immature, a real raw baby and just needs time.
Class 700 JD (3 Entries) Abs: 0
1st: MATHISON Mrs R & Mr S, Blazinbullys Cool Crusader, 1 year old smart white with black ears,
he has a pleasing head although more profile would finish the picture, incorrect mouth. Lovely
straight front, with ample bone on his limbs, powerful quarters, good coat texture, moving well.
2nd: DYSON, Mr F & DYSON Mr E & Mrs J, Tawnbarr Battlestar, 14 months white with good
pigment. To be picky a little straight in shoulder but I preferred his movement to 3rd. He has a good
depth of chest, strong topline and quarters plus stands on neat feet.
3rd: THOMAS, Mrs N & THOMAS Mr C, Tawnbarr Huntsman's Moon of Croesybullys
Class 701 PGD (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: KARTA-WILLIAMS , Mrs R & WILLIAMS Mr T, Moonflower Tumen Of Kamara (Imp) such a big
white lad showing strength all over. His head is good for profile and fill and has a keen eye plus a
correct mouth. He’s really good for forechest, shoulders and ribbing and is very muscular all
through. He moved a little close going away but looked good in profile. This lad was up on his toes,
showed like a bomb and handled to perfection.
2nd: LEWIS, Mr N & SARICH Miss D, Afanbull Gorgeous George, white with black ears, a very typy
boy, he has a super head with fill and finish, well made dog all through, compact with a solid
topline and neat feet.
Class 702 LD (7 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: NEWBERRY, Mr G & Mrs A & MILLS Mrs F, Teirwgwyn Phantom Jester For Ukusa, red/white he
has a super head with finish and fill and a strength underjaw. Mouth fault. Lovely bodylines with
strength all though, good reach of neck but a tad upright in shoulder. He has strong quarters,
covering the ground well.
2nd: TURPIN Mrs J M, Unionbul's Hot Diamond, a substantial bl/br/white, he’s an eye-catching
male with a powerful head although not quite the finish of 1. Mouth fault. Would prefer a cleaner
neck but he has a good forehand and strength in topline, he has ample bone and short strong
hocks.
3rd: 1952 HACKETT Mr D & Mrs S Spartiate Picasso
Class 703 OD (7 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: PARKINGTON Mr D & Mrs Z, Olliebrad Some Might Say, my star of the day this 13 months
Bri/White male could not be denied as everything about this young dog appealed; he is typical,
balanced and sound. He eats up the ground on the move and for me, the perfect mix of Bull and
Terrier. From his well-filled and turned head with perfect mouth through to his strong, well
angulated quarters he’s presented in tip top condition. I was pleased to award him the CC & BOB;
he looked a picture in the group, still up on his toes after a very long day and with time on his side I
will watch his progress with interest.
2nd: PATERSON Mr S J, Golitha Generation X, a striking, upstanding white this lad has a lovely
outline. With a good length and arc to his head, neat ears and has a correct mouth. He has a clean
neck, good depth of chest, plenty of ribbing and is well-muscled all through, moving well I awarded
him the Res CC.
3rd: JOWERS Mr & Miss K & A Clansmann Centurian Player
Class 707 JB (5 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: MORRIS, Mr S & HEATH Miss D, Bluepoint Kittiwake, a beautiful white bitch radiating quality,
just the right weight and so well put together. She has a perfect bite, tiny eye, enough fill and
beautiful arc to her head. With a straight front and strong loin, her rippling muscles could be seen
from any angle. Standing on neat feet she moves well away and back and is so well conditioned.
Res CC.
2nd: WELSBY Miss S, Tawnbarr Diamond Ice Dragon Avec Sherrywells, very pretty white carrying
tri, a little narrow in foreface but has a lovey unbroken curve and a good bite. Clean neck, straight
front very feminine girl who moved well.
3rd: SCOTT, Miss L & SUTCLIFFE Mr S, Bluepoint Sea Breeze At Dotannebull
Class 708 PGB (4 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: 1944 CATILINA Mr & Mrs D Dofro Deceptacon, this super white has a beautiful head with
plenty of arc, clean neck, good forechest, strong topline, muscular quarters and good tail set,
lovely.
2nd: 1945 COX Mr G & Mrs J Ukusa Reverie At Dachshinbull, as good a quality of 1st this blk/br has
super arc and finish with correct mouth, good forechest and enough bone, just pinning in coming
but fine moving away and in profile. I really liked her.
Class 709 LB (3 Entries) Abs: 1
1st: KARTA-WILLIAMS , Mrs R & WILLIAMS Mr T Kaiserbull's Tough Love At Kamara, this white girl
is a stunner; so shapely she is big but beautiful and all in proportion. She has a fabulous head with
turn and fill although mouth just off. She has a good length of neck, straight front and good
shoulders, plenty of depth, strong topline and ample bone on her limbs. She has strength in her
quarters, she’s such an easy mover. With top drawer presentation in her sparkling white jacket I
was pleased to award her the CC which I’m told was her third.
2nd: KENNA Mr J R Bullyon Pix Of The Measure At Lucyjajo, white with black eye. A pretty bitch
however I would prefer more underjaw and fill in her head but has neat ears and a small eye. Not
the shoulders of 1 but good for topline, presentation and moved ok.
Class 710 OB (10 Entries) Abs: 2
1st: SHEPPARD, Miss L J & HOWES Mr T Ragnarok Back In Black From Polanca, this Blk/Br/White is
a picture of health and vitality, she is so well constructed and moves like a dream which netted her
this exceptional class of quality bitches. She has a wicked eye on her powerful head with a perfect
mouth, she’s shapely all through and so well-schooled, she was seriously considered for top
awards even though a tad long in body.
2nd: YOUNG Mr J & Mrs A Bilboen Harlee Quinn, this white is good for head, eye and bite plus she
has a clean neck of good length, enough depth of brisket, strong all through she has ample bone
plus sturdy rear end. She tended to pace on the move today but when she got going moved well,
3rd: BLAIR Mr & Mrs P, Ir Ch Briden Chit Chat At Megaville.
