ENGLISH BULL JUDGE EAST OF ENGLAND 15

Bull Terriers

I had a wonderful day judging at East of England even though I only had an entry of three but the exhibits were packed with quality & virtues, which made it very hard for me to select my BOB, in the end I had to knit pick & choose the bitch over the dog on her better movement. I would like to thank all three exhibitors for entering under me, it was very much appreciated.

OD (1)

1 Sheppard & Howes’ Polanca Powerslave, powerful upstanding quality br/w male. Strong egg shaped packed to the brim head, with lovely turn, small eye, ears bang on top, giving for good expression. Correct bite & strong underjaw. Long neck going into a good lay of shoulder, deep chest, straight front with plenty of bone, slightly long cast, good bend of stifle & a strong second thigh, which was good to see as some dogs seem to be lacking, tail set a little high, catlike feet. Keep topline on the move but was a little close behind. BD.

OB (1)

1 Bloom’s Abenaki Romantic Destiny, quality white bitch. Lovely feminine head with enough turn & fill, perfect mouth, small wicked eye & small erect ears. Good lay of shoulder, gun barrel chest, straight front, enough bone for size, good topline with a correct tailset & good powerful quarters & tight feet. Would have liked a slightly longer neck to finish the picture. BB. Moved with purpose & just pipped the dog on movement for BOB.
