ENGLISH BULL DARLINGTON 13 Judge: Mr S Parsons BEST OF BREED : 1047 MATHISON Mr S & Mrs R Notorious Joker Of Blazinbull's ENGLISH BULL JUDGE DARLINGTON 13 Bull Terriers Clean sloping shoulders were very much the exception, the CC & RCC winning males excelling in this respect. The bitches had strength in depth & there were plenty of potential CC winners. MPD (1) Did not want to be examined so withdrew. JD (2) 1 CC & BOB, Mathison’s Notorious Joker of Blazinbulls, pleasure to find something with such super make & shape so early in the entry. Classy white, quality head, super expression from correct eye shape & small well carried ears, but excels behind the collar, short back combined with just the right angles, absolutely straight front, enough substance, correct croup & tail set, true coming & going, settled to move well in profile too; 2 Rae’s Trazistabull Star Of Hades, stylish b/br, super profile, excellent eyes & ears, good front, not so compact as 1 not so all of a piece on the move. PGD (2) 1 Dyson’s Gorbain Hellraiser Tawnbarr, good to see such an attractively coloured brindle, a rarity in the ring nowadays. A boy of many virtues, superb head with great muzzle power, enormous bone & substance, short back, moved true. Could have cleaner shoulders & carry less weight which would smooth out the outline, but has much to offer; 2 Newberry’s Ukusa Quagmire, quality headed white, classy boy full of type, good neck, enough substance. Not so short & compact as 1, strode out well but could be truer coming & going. LD (2) 1 Williams & Hawksford’s Busell’s Red Knight Rising, solid red of great substance, compact, good topline, masculine head, dark eye, ears could be a shade smaller, true front, well muscled hindquarters. Would just prefer a little more front angulation. Moved true in front, slightly narrow behind; 2 Parry’s Bulldazzled Son Of Darkness at Danathsam, more elegant tri, slightly longer cast & not the substance of 1. Well bent stifles, strides out well, a touch wide in front. OK head type without quite the power of 1. OD (5) Good class. 1 RCC, McDermid’s Ch Padhen Hitman, all quality b/br, another to appeal to those who like shape & outline, a model for neck & shoulder, well bodied, straight front, beautifully trained to show himself off. Similar type to CC winner, had a bit more arc but not quite so true in hind action, could have gone either way; 2 Redmond’s Warhorse El Pistolero, eyecatching r/w, very typy, head of great strength though not quite profile of 1, plenty of substance, OK hindquarters, well balanced. Just preferred shoulder & front movement of 1 but should do very well; 3 Blair’s Taylajay Dream A Lie at Megaville. JB (10) Interesting class which took quite a bit of sorting. 1 Hackett’s Spartiate Pandora, b/br, scored on her power, bone & substance, very handsome overall type, great strength of muzzle, straight front, sound mover, not the most enthusiastic showgirl but had her moments when she looked a real picture; 2 Young’s Bullyview Sweet Memories, such a pretty more feminine white, quite a handful but eventually settled to move reasonably well, plenty of quality, good hindquarters, more dramatic head profile than 1 but not quite so good in shoulders; 3 Montgomery & Buick’s Debully Invincible. PGB (3) 1 Whittaker & Cano’s Wengormick Grace Villsonny, elegant girl with flowing lines, feminine head with enough profile, good expression, reasonable shoulders, well made hindquarters, free mover when she settled; 2 Ball’s Emred Hells Angel at Firecommand, quality girl, plenty of substance, slightly longer cast, plenty of bone, excellent hindquarters, quality head, just preferred 1’s expression; 3 Moore’s Lil Lady Firecracker. LB (4) 1 Gaigher’s Heaven White Himalaya’s Snow Mountains, classy white, excellent head & expression, plenty of bone & substance, elegant neck, moved well in front, slightly close behind; 2 Galla’s Vetsbullies Happiness, very attractive showy red with clean lines, quality head, plenty of body, well boned, strong hindquarters though moved slightly close behind. Close decision, 1 was a shade shorter; 3 Sewards’ Padhen Pearl’s Princess. OB (6) Very enjoyable class to judge, quality right down the line. 1 CC, her third, Young’s Bullyview Gansta’s Girl, immediate eyecatcher whose style & obvious virtues overcome any minor imperfections, beautiful head, strong & turned, super shape & balance, combines substance & femininity, a lively girl but eventually settled to move true; 2 RCC, Greives’ Teirwgwyn Miss Independent of Meilow, super shapely tri, strong but feminine head, clean neck line, true front, strides out with great style, front movement good, a shade close behind, not quite so compact as 1; 3 Blair’s C’est La Vie into Megaville.
