ENGLISH BULL JUDGE DARLINGTON 11

Bull Terriers

Overall the exhibits were in good condition & I am pleased to report very few mouth faults, however inverted canines should be taken seriously by breeders in order to eradicate the problem. Many exhibits could not have their backs described as required, as short, which consequently alters the overall balance. Still several exhibits would have benefited from ringcraft classes & exercise to develop muscle tone. OB was a demonstration to all of the gold standard in presentation & handling. On the plus side my top winners were a joy standing & moving.

MPD (0).

PD (1)

1 Marples’ Taylajay Look No Further, br/w with strong masculine head & good expression, good strong bone, moved & showed well.

JD (2)

1 Sunders & Dovey’s Jayston Yasmino’s Boy, tri, short backed compact dog, not a large one but well balanced with good bone & substance, pleasing head & expression, moved soundly & showed well. RCC;

2 Griffiths’ Jessajack Blazin Inferno, white, larger than 1 with good head but longer cast & rather unfit so balance of head lost. Tail carriage did not please.

PGD (4)

1 Williams & Hawksford’s Bussell’s Red Knight Rising, solid red quality heavyweight, definitely maximum substance for size, yet neither coarse nor fat, lovely strong powerful packed head with good profile, excelling in eyes & expression, good front with plenty of bone, big ribs, short coupled, powerful hindquarters, moved with drive once settled, filled my eye & produced goosebumps. CC & BOB;

2 Bennett’s Aldamar Power Store, b/br/w with good profile but lacking power in head. Poorly set ears & soft expression did not help but nevertheless sound construction though long cast. In superb condition, good hard muscle & coat gleaming, moved with ease & showed well;

3 Gardner & Patterson’s Javarke Sharp Shooter.

LD (3)

1 Wannop’s Charisalee Drumbeat, white whose mouth was not all it should be but good well filled head. Sound construction, balanced throughout, moved with drive & showed well;

2 Kocabo’s Badlesmere Berties Brother, bl/br heavyweight with rather short head. Front caused me concern as did shoulders. Would prefer shorter back. In good condition, moved well enough & showed.

OD (4)

1 Mathison’s Ch Whispered Secret at Blazinbullys, quality white with good profiled head but would like more strength in muzzle. Balanced throughout. Well muscled hindquarters but rather loose in front. Showed well, moved with drive but disappointed with tail carriage.

MPB (1)

1 Nisbet’s Nosremme Panda One Star, 8 months ultra feminine tri, all arms & legs at present. Good profile to head & good bend of stifle. Moved well enough just needs time to mature & grow into herself.

PB (2)

1 Wright & Skelton’s Joint Venture with Rightstuff, white with quality flowing lines, good head, correct mouth, sound construction, moved well when settled & showed well once her exuberance could be contained. BP;

2 Hammill’s Tiapan’s Starlight Express, white, larger than 1. Good profile to head but canines incorrect. Longer cast than I like & did not do herself justice on the move, needs time & ringcraft.

JB (4)

1 McDonagh & McLeish’s Irazistabull Northern Star, classical flowing lines to this bitch, good head & overall balance, moved & showed well;

2 Bloom & O’Neill’s Kholander Tropicana at Abenaki, r/w quality bitch with good head & mouth, good bone & substance, good bend of stifle. Topline a little slack;

3 Williams & Hawksford’s Bobuddy Evanesence.

PGB (5)

1 Taylor’s Blosson of Snow at Credetta, big sound white with good bone & substance, perhaps a little plain in head. Well balanced, moved & showed well;

2 Wright’s Rightstuff Reason, white, smaller & lighter than 1, good profiled head with strength. Expression spoiled by her refusal to use ears. Moved well enough. Would like more of her all over.

LB (4)

1 Price’s Keznel Hot Diamond, quality bitch of classic construction, lovely head well filled, in good hard condition, moved with drive & showed. RCC;

2 Hearne & Singleton’s Warbonnet Illusion, short backed cobby bitch, lovely packed head, excellent eye & expression. Mouth disappointed;

3 Wilson & Stephens’ Penderrin Black Heart Maid for Alizarin, b/br/w quality bitch with gleaming coat. Long head that could have been more powerful. Moved with reach & showed well.

OB (4)

1 Lamonby’s Emred Night Fever, white top quality short coupled bitch, good well filled head, flowing body lines, sound construction, moved with ease & showed well, presentation & handling excellent. CC;

2 Mathison’s Ch Blazinbullys Miss Sinister, quality b/br/w with lovely sweep to head but two dimensional that needed more width & strength. Sound construction, in gleaming condition, moved well enough, showmanship & presentation of the best;

3 Woodward’s Gorbain Salacious Suzie.
