ENGLISH BULL CRUFTS 13 Bull Terrier Judge(s): MR D C MERRIAM [USA] Bull Terriers My appreciation to the Crufts committee. I was most appreciative of the able assistance of my ring stewards, Mr & Mrs Vine. They were superb. Very much enjoyed the assignment. VD (2) 1 Grieves’ Borsalino Black Star of Meilow, tri veteran in fit condition & showed with enthusiasm. Strong head with good profile. Correct bite. Moved well. Good neck & well proportioned; 2 Brown’s Ply For Hire, br/w, moderate head could be improved with better eye. Correct bite. Rather exaggerated movement. PD (2) 1 O’Prey’s Zaracle Zuperstition, br/w with good bone & substance. Very good eye & Roman finish. Correct bite. Tad long in back & short on leg. Moved well both ways; 2 Lightburn & Notman’s Bradak Inkredibull General at Funkaidellix, br/w, still very immature & rather leery of the ring experience. Head needs finish. Good topline. Nice lines & good rear angulation. JD (2) 1 Chaube’s Tierwgwyn Latest Flame, white with no head markings, mid-to-large size. Good bone & substance. Tad flat mid profile. Correct bite, very good eye. Moved well coming & going; 2 Blair’s Taylajay Dream A Lie at Megaville, white with brindle ear marking. A moderate head. Very adequate bone & substance. Not the lines of 1. Rather straight in shoulder & stifle. Shown well. PGD (9) 1 Jerome & Cambridge’s Ounsdale Return Of The Mac at El Ysianplain, br/w of moderate size, attractive one piece dog. Balanced & shapely with short back. Very good head with correct profile & eye. Correct bite. Adequate bone & substance for size; 2 Foster’s Bilboen Velocity, white dog with strong head & good Roman finish. Flat mid profile. Good eye. Heavyweight. Good bone & substance, good reach, correct coat, straight shoulder & stifle. LD (9) 1 RCC, Lamonby’s Emred Devil’s Spy, attractive midsize white dog who catches your eye immediately. Very short back & well coupled, truly one piece. Good bone & substance. Typy head with good profile, good bite albeit two leaning incisors. A quality dog; 2 Sewards’ Padhen The Puzzler, br/w heavyweight, strong head with good Roman finish. Good profile. A few incisors off. Loads of bone & substance, good topline & rear angulation. OD (12) 1 CC & BOB, McDermid’s Padhen Hitman, real eyecatching b/br/w of moderate size. Loads of breed virtues in a most attractive package. Very typy head with good profile & correct bite. Good bone & substance. Short back & good topline. A high quality balanced dog with great type. Later gathered some attention in the group; 2 Saunders & Dovey’s Jayston Yasmino’s Boy, tri of moderate size, moderate bone. Good profile & Roman finish, correct bite. Moved well. GCD (1) 1 Bennett’s Aldamar Power Storm, b/br/w with good substance, correct bite. Moderate head with flat mid profile. VB (3) 1 Addison’s Fortifer The Dark Side at Taureau, br/w of moderate size, correct bite. Adequate bone & substance. Needs more head. Seemed to enjoy her outing. PB (4) 1 BP, Grieves’ Tierwgwyn Miss Independent of Meilow, tri of midsize. Fair head with good profile, correct bite. Moderate bone & substance. A reachy bitch with pleasing lines, good angulated stifle; 2 O’Prey’s Zaracle Sundae Best, r/w of moderate size. A bit light in bone & body. Pleasing head with good bite. Good feet. JB (5) 1 Foster’s Bilboen Xrated, substantial r/w with pleasing reach & scope. Good head, good profile. Could use more fill. Correct shoulder & angulation. A sound & shapely bitch; 2 Mitchell & Robertshaw’s Work Of Art at Beebeemi, white with brindle ear markings. Another substantial bitch, indeed a heavyweight. Strong head lacking some fill. Very good bone & substance. Moved well. PGB (9) 1 Galla’s Vetsbullies Happiness, r/w heavyweight with nice lines & good reach. Moderate bone, good substance. Good length of head & OK profile. Good topline & rear angulation. A shapely bitch who moved well; 2 Brown’s Louka Pretty Lady, tri of moderate size, attractive head with OK profile needing more fill. Rather large eye. Bit straight in shoulder. In fit condition with good feet & coat. Moved fair. LB (7) 1 RCC, Seward’s Padhen Pearl’s Princess, br/w of mid size, very well balanced with loads of type. Attractive head with good fill & moderate profile. Good neck & short back, correct bite. Adequate bone & substance for size. A one piece terrier, good feet. Showed well. Typy & quality bitch; 2 Sineri’s Blazinbully’s Lady Mizfitz, br/w, upstanding with good reach. Good head with good profile, correct bite. Tad long in back. Moderate bone. Good rear angulation. Moved OK. OB (7) 1 CC, Konings & Berez’ Am Ch Action Hot And Classy, statuesque heavyweight white, an eyecatcher indeed, screams out quality type. Very good head & profile, correct bite. Very good quality bone & substance. Wonderful neck & shoulder. Pleasing rear angulation, moved well. A big & balanced quality bitch; 2 Dynes & McGeown’s Ch Debully Devine Vision at Barbbulls, white, much the type of 1. Balanced & shapely, moderate bone, short back. Flat mid profile but good Roman finish. Good rear angulation. GCB (3) 1 Davis’ Louka Summer Breeze, br/w with moderate head, correct bite, good feet. Good substance; 2 Waycott’s Waybully Bewitched, br/w, upstanding of moderate size. Undershot bite. Adequate bone & substance. Better shape than 1. D C MERRIAM
