ENGLISH BULL JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 15
Bull Terrier
My thanks to exhibitors for their stoicism in enduring the relentless rain and the lengthy wait. I was pleased to note very few incorrect bites with the exception of a few canines causing concern. However, many of the exhibits could have been shorter coupled, which together with incorrect tail carriage results in poor toplines on the move. Whilst these longer cast dogs can be in balance by virtue of a longer head and reach of neck, when combined with a short albeit well curved profile and shorter neck the overall balance of the dog is lost.
Puppy Dog 1
1. Misses 0 &J Mitchell’s Beebeemi Grandmaster Flash, red & white heavyweight dog. Good profile, mouth and soundly made. Moved well once settled. Best Puppy
Junior Dog 2 (1 abs)
1. Mr J Emett’s Brookbully Avenger, promising white dog, lovely eye and expression. Short coupled, good condition. Still loose in front and lacking power behind.
Post Graduate Dog 6 (1abs)
1. Mr & Mrs Heard’s Shacadia’s Black Mamba at Louwab, cobby short coupled well made solid brindle. Good eye and expression. Lovely tight feet. Good hard gleaming condition. Moved and showed well but tail carriage did not please.
2. Mr A Fletcher’s Indelibull Inkreadible, large heavyweight tri-colour youngster. Good head, well balanced. Feet could be improved. Preferred the eye and expression of the winner.
3. Mr S Roff’s Bobuddy Bronn
Limit Dog 6 (2abs)
1. Mr E Stanley’s Aricon Eyecon, top quality white compact dog with longish well filled head and correct eye and expression. Soundly made throughout. Topline and tail carriage correct. Excellent condition. Moved and showed well
CC & BOB.
2. Mr J.Sweeney’s Cigano Dark Knight for Afanbull, eye-catching black brindle dog. Lovely profile, sound construction. Would like him shorter coupled and less bold in eye.
3. Miss E Pullen’s Louka Gone Racin
Open Dog 5 (1abs)
1. Mr M Sineri’s Ch Cosmopolitan Space Oddity Moonflower, top quality heavyweight white dog with good head. Well made, good condition. Would prefer him shorter coupled, tail carriage did not please. Res CC.
2. Mr & Mrs F Dyson’s Gorbain Hellraiser Tawnbarr, red brindle & white quality dog in gleaming condition.Longish head but would have preferred a little more reach of neck to balance.
3. Mr & Mrs Blair’s Meilow Silhouette from Megaville
Minor Puppy Bitch 1
1. Ms R Sinclair’s Beebeemi Jocelyn Brown, 8 month red & white promising bitch, rather immature. Well made, moved and showed well enough for age a credit to her handler.
Junior Bitch 2
1. Mr & Mrs G Newberry’s Ukusa Metamorphosis, feminine bitch of lovely flowing lines. Moved and showed well bbut tail carriage spoilt the picture.
2. Mrs K McPherson’s Cigano Rose Flower, black brindle bitch with long well filled quality head. Sound construction, unfortunately too busy being a hooligan on the move to settle.
Post Graduate Bitch 5
1. Mr & Mrs S Coverdale’s Unionbul’s Diamond Flame. Quality white bitch, soundly made with flowing lines. Best mover in the class.
2. Mr & Mrs P Musgrove’s Megaville Star Gazing Into Japulca, another quality white bitch with lovely well filled head. Longer cast than the winner and hind movement needs to improve.
