ENGLISH BULL BLACKPOOL 10 Judge: Miss Sarah Foster ENGLISH BULL JUDGE BLACKPOOL 10 Bull Terriers I was very excited to be awarding my first set of CCs, & was very pleased with my overall winners. PD (1) 1 O’Connell’s Ragnarok Gungnir at Koellen, white with black head marks, quality typy, compact & cobby pup, lovely head with good profile & finish, powerful muzzle & good underjaw, good eye & expression, mouth level, good neck, straight front, slightly long in back, strong quarters, moved close behind, well handled, in good condition. Would prefer a fraction more length of front leg, this does affect his topline on the move. JD (3,2a) 1 Wannop’s Charishalee Drumbeat, all white small terrier type, well balanced & typy dog with a gentle profile, well filled muzzle, good eye, well placed ears, good mouth, strong topline, straight front. Fraction long in back. Shapely quarters, moved well, well handled. PGD (5,1) 1 Musgroves’ Ilegend Lord Of The Vikings, small cobby bl/br/w, power packed head with deep underjaw, lovely profile & good eye, small ears, good neck, straight front, level topline, slightly long in back, well muscled quarters, moved OK; 2 Elliott’s Buffalo Tiger, small br/w, nice profile with good eye & mouth, well placed small ears, straight front with good bone, level topline, moved OK, in good condition; 3 Kocaba’s Badlesmere Berties Brother. LD (6) A strong class of quality dogs. 1 Lamonby’s Emred Daredevil, terrier type, white with black ear, very typy & well balanced, lovely head, not overdone with gentle sweeping profile, good eye & excellent expression. One tooth out. Small well placed ears, excellent front, tight feet, short back with level topline, shapely quarters, moved close behind, well handled. RCC; 2 Kilpatrick’s Rebelside John Wayne at Kilacabar, large bull type all white, balanced dog with gentle profile, perfect mouth, good eye & expression, nice ears, strong shapely neck leading into deep chest, straight front, pasterns could be tighter, huge bone, slightly long in back, well muscled quarters, moved well when settled, well handled; 3 Westwood’s Tulsadoon Abi Albion. OD (10,7) Strong class. 1 Blakeley’s Ch Skyline Defies Dazlin, first time I have seen this dog & he took my eye as he entered the ring, well marked r/w, well balanced, compact, cobby dog, has the correct blend of bull & terrier, who when viewed from the front you can see is all male, I feel this quality is sadly lacking in many of the males who are built more like hounds & rather thin all through. Strong powerful head that is well filled with a gentle profile, good expression with small well placed ears, good mouth, straight front with excellent bone, well laid shoulders, lovely neck into deep powerful chest, level topline, good spring of rib, very strong, shapely & well muscled quarters, moved with drive & parallel, best mover, well handled. CC; 2 Sheppard & Howes’ Ragnarok Balder at Polanca, eyecatching & extremely well balanced & typy dog, has the correct blend of bull & terrier, the best balanced animal here, well marked r/w, beautiful headed dog with lovely sweeping profile & powerful muzzle, has more profile than 1. Excellent expression, straight front with good bone, tight feet, excellent lay of shoulder, powerful neck, deep chest & ultra short backed, level topline, strong & shapely quarters, in excellent condition, moved close behind & held his topline on the move, well handled. Sadly undershot which is his cross to bear when in top notch company; 3 Dobbin’s Ossysdreams Tristar of Debully. PB (1) A. JB (4,2) 1 McGregor’s Merlindan Belisama, very close decision between these two bitches, pretty, elegant, well marked r/w, powerful head with a lovely profile & well filled muzzle, mouth level, good eye, good neck leading into strong chest, straight front good bone, strong quarters, moved OK, does occasionally drop her topline. Still needs another 6 months to see the best of this bitch; 2 Woodward’s Gorbain Salacious Suzie, different type to 1, pretty white with brindle ears, nice profile that sweeps gently from top of head to nose, not the strength of muzzle of 1, excellent expression with tiny eyes, good mouth, elegant neck, straight front, shapely well muscled quarters. Occasionally drops her topline. Well handled. Against another top quality bitch paid the price for her coat condition. PGB (7,2) 1 Grant & Martin’s Chardaice Lovers Rock with Bullbrand, very typy & balanced all white terrier type bitch, good head with gentle profile & well filled muzzle, good mouth, well set ears, good eye placement, nice neck into strong chest, well laid shoulders, straight front & tight feet, very short backed with shapely quarters, moved well, well handled; 2 Hearne & Singleton’s Warbonnet Illusion, pretty & elegant white with brindle ears, lovely profile & well filled muzzle with tiny eye & good mouth, strong chest with straight front & good bone. Slightly long in back & tends to drop her topline. Moved OK. Preferred the balance of 1; 3 Whittacker’s Wengormick Born N Bred. LB (7,1) Some lovely bitches in this class. 1 Phillips’ Llanwenarth Love No Measure of Bullyon, this is the second time I have seen this bitch, boy has she changed since the first time which was only 6 weeks ago, stood out from the moment she entered the ring, eyecatching & elegant all white, well balanced terrier type, lovely head with gentle sweeping profile & well filled muzzle, not overdone in any way, good eye & expression with good mouth, elegant neck leading into strong chest, straight front & good feet, good bone, short back with level topline, shapely well muscled quarters, moved well & held her topline on the move, well handled, a beautiful bitch, who would be my choice to take home, for me there wasn’t another bitch to come close. CC & BOB; 2 Roff’s Bobuddy Enigma, quality large upstanding white who fills the eye, very strong profile, more power than I had expected but I would prefer a fraction more. Tiny eye, ears could be better, mouth fault which she can carry in today’s company. Straight front with good bone, slightly long in back, shapely quarters, well handled. RCC; 3 Lamonby’s Emred Night Fever. OB (5,2) 1 Seward’s Padhern Precious Pearl, small, balanced terrier type well marked r/w, pleasing head with gentle profile, enough fill. Eye could be smaller. Good mouth, short backed, straight front, good bone for size, level topline, strong shapely quarters, moved close behind; 2 Ley’s Fortifer Fractious Female, balanced all white who is very similar type to 1, gentle profile with good fill & good mouth, elegant neck with straight front, deep chest, shapely quarters, can drop her topline, moved close behind; 3 Dobbin & Van’s Ecks Ch Sugar Spun Sister for Debully.
