I love the breed and its character but I feel many needed more ring training to be seen to advantage. Plenty of exhibits with good head, bone and substance. Angulation and feet and pasterns could be better. Only a few minor dentition faults. I enjoyed the experience thought provoking and a learning curve. Many thanks to my stewards Jill Sims and Sarah Portlock. SBD (2, 1) 1 Wood Ragnar King of The Vikings 3-year-old, brindle, needs to fill out. Good turn of foreface and good eye. Needs a little more front angulation. Jaunty mover. Tail carriage a little high. BSB MPD (1) 1 Harding Kentwone Bullberrypie 9 months tri – leggy and light at the moment and needs to drop in chest and develop substance. He has good rear angulation. Foreface is well filled but can be longer. Ears a little soft yet. His first show – enjoying it but needs schooling. PD (1) 1 Wright Rightstuff Ace 10 months here is a quality typy dog. White with eye patch. I liked his proportions, balance, bone and substance. Strong, well filled head with good downface. Excellent eye. Ears still need to firm up. Good rear angulation which he uses well. Needs more schooling but has great potential. Best puppy. PGD (5, 2) 1 Robinson Vetsbullies Killing Music shapely 4-year-old white who was a comfortable winner of this class. He has good bone and substance and very well angulated quarters giving good drive. Holds his topline well. Masculine well filled head. His front action could be cleaner. 2 Mills Miinroc Dark Intentions 2 years tri and not yet fully mature in body and lacking the substance of the winner. I liked his long downface, well filled to the end. Active, jaunty mover but can be tidier in the rear. 3 Wood Ragnar King of The Vikings LD (6) 1 Dodd Bluepoint Patchogue at Miandale 4-year-old white dog whose size and substance and shapely outline appealed. He was very good at both ends on the move and schooled to show this off. He has a masculine, well filled head and good ears but his eye is a little large so his expression could be keener. However, he had much to admire and pressed hard in the challenge. 2 Young Kirkville Tokyo Jo 2-year-old classy dog scored in his lovely length of downface and beautiful eye where he scored over the winner. His feet and pasterns could be better and this shows in his front movement let him down on the day. 3 Tewkesbury Tewkabull Peaky Blinder OD (8, 1) 1 Blair Vetsbullies Keep a Knockin’ into Megaville 3-year-old brindle full-size heavyweight in great muscular condition. A little long for balance but a beautiful head and eye and great chest and substance. True coming and going. I would like him a little more compact but movement and showmanship took him to CC. 2 Mathison White Wizard of Steel at Blazinbullys I loved the lines and balance of this dog but a real handful for handler and judge. When he settled he went well. I liked his shape, balance and head but on the move hard to assess and this lost him the CC. RCC 3 Gardner & Patterson Serenbull Soul Defender MPB (1) 1 Thompson Barnesmore Ice Angel Gorbain 6 months white with black ears, feminine and has clean flawing lines. Well angulated at both ends. She needs to fill out in body. Excellent mouth. Long downface, excellent eyes. Ears a little large. She is raw, but has promise. PB (1) 1 Kinder Meilow Pure Gold at Dodge City 11 ½ month brindle and white. Good bodied bitch with strong bone and good substance. Very good quarters. Good neck into shoulder. I would prefer a little more length in front of the eyes which is well turned and filled. Tails set a little hight. Good drive, can tighten up in front action. Best Puppy Bitch. JB (5, 2) Only 3 of them but any of them might have won the class as they were different in type and all full of quality. 1 Westwood Tulsadoom Meshuggeneh smallest of the three but everything in proportion and has very good bone and substance. Feminine, long well filled head with good eye and wears. Excellent movement. Scored in finish of chest to win this. Schooled to show off her quality. Made the last 3 and pressed hard. I’m sure she will have a good career. 2 Morris & Heath Bluepoint Goshawk 14 months with lovely clean flowing lines. A little leggier than the winner in type so will take longer to be finished. Beautiful head and eye, just marred a little by ears which are a touch large. Very good mover. Should have a good career. 3 Conlon Starcinco Gravity Ice YB (2) 1 Dodd Miandale Queen of Hearts 15 months lovely quality and type with good leg length and excellent body lines. Well-turned and filled foreface lovely eye. Great promise. Good stride. PGB (8, 1) 1 Robinson Miandale Enchantress 16 months white with tan ears. She scored on the move to win this class. Combines substance with femininity. Her head is long and well-shaped and filled and has good expression. Handler makes the best of her dogs. 2 Karta-Williams and Williams Karmara’s Tough Tyger 20 months more finished than the winner in body. She is substantial and a heavier type than the winner. Ultra sound on the move with good stride in front and strong rear. Strong head with long, well filled downface. Slight dentition fault but her qualities outweighed that for me. Not as feminine as winner. 3 Adey-Mcconnell Blazinbullys Miss A Beat LB (4) A difficult class as they were all different with qualities to recommend them. 1 Pullen Razorsedge Are You Ready 2-year-old brindle with beautiful feminine head and expression and best movement of the class. I would prefer a little more bone but she has plenty of substance, good ribs and excellent chest. Caried herself well with good tail carriage not flashy but I liked her lines and type. 2 Saunders Ukusa Exxtravagant tricolour of 4 years, strongly boned with plenty of substance. A little long in body and this shows in her topline. Strong head. Eye could be smaller. 3 Adey Blazinbully’s Brogans Girl OB (6, 4) 2 top quality bitches. 1 Young Bilboen Keep a Secret at Bullyview 2-year-old red/white, middle of the road type and a real eyeful, a combination of quality and substance with a superb head and eye. Excellent rib and substance and a very good mover at both ends. Her feet are not her fortune but that pales alongside her quality and showmanship. CC & BOB and shortlisted in the group. 2 Bradley Olliebrad Song Bird excellent head and wicked expression and showed herself off well. Good bone and feet and ribcage. Well-made and this shows on the move where she is good at both ends. Excellent quarters but her tail is set and carried a little high but full of quality. Her maturity and balance gave her the slight edge over the junior bitch to take the reserve CC. Frank Kane Back To Top Of Page
