ENGLISH BULL JUDGE BIRMINGHAM NATIONAL 17

Bull Terriers

An absolute pleasure to judge this show, thank you to the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity to go over your dogs. The quality was high with very little separating many placings.

PD (1)

1 Malden’s Louka Eye In The Sky, brindle, very powerful head with good eye & expression, mouth just off. Good front, decent shoulders, moderate length in back, showed & handled well.

PGD (4,1a)

1 Stanley’s Fortifeyed With Beauty at Aricon, stunning white dog that fills the eye, beautiful head & stunning expression, correct mouth, lovely long neck into clean shoulders, straight front, enough bone for size, tidy feet. Short back, good spring of rib, shapely rearquarters, moved with power & thrust behind. This dog has it all, type, balance, quality & charisma & is free from exaggeration, sure, as with every dog, you could wish for more in certain areas but to pick at a dog of this calibre would be just nonsense. Pleased to award him CC & BOB at what I believe is his first show. He also went G4, congratulations;

2 Foster & Bicker’s Bilboen Final Conflict, upstanding brindle. Good head & expression, mouth OK. Long neck, good shoulder & front, deep ribcage, moderate length in back. Well angulated rearquarters, moved well both ways. Well handled & presented;

3 Clifft’s Deverclifft Bully Boy.

LD (3)

1 Sheehy’s Cigano Dark Knight for Afanbull, b/br, powerful & cobby with a strong head, keen expression, mouth OK. Good front & feet, short back, deep brisket, strong quarters, moved well. Good bone & substance throughout giving maximum power in minimum compass, a very typy dog;

2 Karta-Williams & Williams’ Briden Fun Lovin Criminal at Karmara, upstanding white, good head in profile, could use a touch more fill, correct mouth. Lovely long neck into correct lay of shoulder, slightly long cast, decent quarters, moved & handled well;

3 Waycott’s Waybully Andromeda.

OD (3)

1 Littlefair’s Dikram Midnight Dream, tri with a strong powerful head, has profile, fill & a deep muzzle & underjaw, keen eye, mouth OK. Strong neck, clean shoulder, good front with nice round bone, moderate length in back, well angulated rearquarters, moves well in front, could use more drive in the rear. A very typy dog all around that I was pleased to award the RCC;

2 Emett’s Brookbully Avenger, upstanding white, very nice head, good shaped eye, mouth ok, lovely long neck, good shoulder & front, nice deep brisket, moderate length in back, decent quarters, he moves well both ways with drive, a quality dog all through;

3 Sineri’s White Kamikaze.

VD (1)

1 Morgans & Wilson’s Marshelsea Trouble Coming at Romagna, tall & upstanding, strong head, good bone & substance, moved & showed well, in fabulous condition.

PB (0).

JB (8,2)

A very strong class, with little to separate the first three.

1 Johnson’s Javarke River Romance, very typy b/br. Strong head with fill & power, could use a touch more profile, mouth OK. Good front & feet, short back, shapely quarters, moved well both ways, well handled;

2 Mathison’s Miss Divine of Blazinbullys, balanced b/br. Nice feminine head, would like a keener eye, correct mouth, nice length of neck into good shoulder & front, short back, showed & presented in top order, moves well coming, would like more drive in rear;

3 Kelly & Nisbet’s Unfailling Lost In Paradise for Serenbull.

PGB (3,2)

1 Wright’s Star Venture at Rightstuff, brindle. Good well filled head, nice eye shape, decent shoulder, moderate length in back, good spring of rib, moved well coming, needs more drive in rear. Well handled.

LB (3)

1 Joyce’s Dikram Devil May Dare, typy b/br, classic feminine head, well filled & deep, keen eye & ear placement giving correct expression, mouth OK. Long neck, beautiful shoulder giving good forechest, straight front, tight feet, deep brisket, short back, good tailset, shapely quarters, moves well, she gives her handler a hard time but does enough to see her qualities. CC;

2 Thomas’ Bronygarn Paper Moon at Mostahbull, white, nice filled head with enough profile, mouth just off. Nice neck & shoulder, a little long cast, movement lacks drive. In very nice condition & shows well;

3 Ferris’ Dajan Cybelle.

OB (4)

1 Gronborg’s Dan Ch Danelaw Symphony For The Devil, upstanding white, classic head, filled & deep, correct mouth, lovely long neck into good shoulder, front & feet. Adequate bone for size, moderate length in back, nice tailset, shapely rearquarters, moves well. In top condition, showed & handled to a high standard, a credit to her owner breeders, just missed out on overall power to the winner. RCC;

2 Leggatt’s Rabram Rolling Deep, top quality white. Strong head, keen eye & expression, mouth OK. Well laid shoulder, good straight front with nice round bone. Deep brisket, shapely quarters, moves well, presented & handled well. I’m sure her day will come;

3 Waycott’s Waybully Bliss.
