BEDLINGTON JUDGE NATIONAL TERRIER 10

Bedlington Terriers

I found the bitches were better than the dogs; too many dogs have the high tail carriage which is not only incorrect but spoils the outline of the dog. Movement on the whole was good, & I did not find any bad mouths. A number of exhibits lacked muscle tone but on the whole I think quality has improved & many were in good dark coat.

MPD (3)

1 Fisher & Morris’ Gnejnabay Solo Starboy, 8 months liver, showing promise but he does need to grow on. Dark eye, good mouth, good length of neck, correct front, deep body for one so young, well muscled rearquarters which he used well to give him his first place;

2 Baldwin’s Woolytop Zuks Hoolahan, more mature blue, in good coat, masculine head, strong foreface, reachy neck, good depth of body, moved quite well;

3 Collier’s Pocoblu Misterioso.

PD (2)

1 Bouse’s Tredomen Dixie, 10 months, in dark blue coat. Would like a little more of him but he has a good head & mouth, fine ears, good reach of neck, sufficient brisket for age. A little straight in stifle but well muscled. Moved well;

2 Walters & Mitchell’s Rathsrigg Millrace, bigger dog, not the coat of 1. Super head, strong foreface, good mouth, fine ears, correct lay of shoulder, shapely quarters which he used well.

JD (1)

1 Owen’s Bisbee Beachcomer, very attractive blue, lovely outline, good head, strong foreface, small dark eye, reachy neck, good lay of shoulder, deep brisket, in good coat, shapely rear quarters which he used well on the move, movement good. Carries his tail up which spoils his outline on the move.

ND (1)

1 Hall’s Palm Of The Desert, attractive outline. Coat not in colour but of correct texture, masculine head, good reach of neck, deep brisket, shapely rearquarters. His front action lets him down.

PGD (2)

1 Palmer & Roberts’ Jetsway Captain Morgan, attractive dog, in good coat & colour, attractive head, strong foreface, fine ears, correct lay of shoulder, deep brisket, shapely rear, correct tailset, moved well;

2 Caines’ Gnejnabay Choko Pops, bigger dog, good liver coat, lengthy head. Would like a smaller eye. Good front, deep brisket, a little straight in stifle. Tail spoilt his outline on the move.

LD (6,1)

1 Caines’ Burmington And Me Too, liver coat of good texture, nice make & shape, lengthy head & neck, sweet eye, deep brisket, good tuck up of loin, moved well;

2 Walshaw’s Janmark Alannora, bigger dog, strong body, good head & foreface, long reach of neck, correct shoulder placement, deep brisket. Loses his topline on the move;

3 Hamilton’s Harrisclub Mister Moonray.

OD (7,1)

Good class.

1 Yearley’s Ch Lowbrook Llaffan, handsome liver dog I have admired from the ringside from a puppy & I was not disappointed. Gorgeous head, strong foreface, small dark eye, reachy neck, correct lay of shoulder, super front, deep brisket, correct tuck up, shapely rear quarters, low hocks, well muscled low tailset, best of legs & feet, his movement is free & effortless, keeps his outline standing & on the move, a worthy ch. CC & BOB;

2 Jones’ Ch Pengerrig Iron Duke, worthy ch, blue, in super coat & condition, similar remarks apply but a little heavier in body. Moves with drive but lost his topline. RCC;

3 Walshaw’s Janmark Blue Encounter.

MPB (1)

1 Collier’s Pocoblu Concerto, 7 months blue, in dark coat. Must not grow on. Feminine head, sweet expression, good length of neck. Needs to drop in brisket but has time on her side. Wide in front but shapely rear. Moved OK.

PB (2)

1 Garbutt’s Aireview Classic Print, 8 months blue, in super coat & condition, feminine head, small dark eye, good mouth & front, deep brisket for one so young, shapely rearquarters which she used well on the move keeping her topline. BP;

2 Walshaw’s Misty Horizon, unlucky to meet 1 in such good coat. Mature youngster, very attractive, good front. Would like a little finer head. Good mouth, fine ears, good length of neck, deep in brisket, low hocks. Moved well but a high tail spoils her outline.

JB (3)

1 Owen’s Bisbee Belle Inni, attractive blue, in good coat & colour, good length of head, strong foreface & good mouth, good front, deep brisket, attractive outline, shapely rear, low tailset, moved quite well;

2 Garbutt’s Aireview Starprint, little to choose between these two, just thought 1 had a little more substance. Very attractive, in super coat & colour, nice make & shape, moved well keeping her shape;

3 Worrall’s Bisbee Everlasting Life with Bluesmurf.

PGB (7)

Lovely class, winners could change places any day.

1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove, a little heavier than I like but her super movement won her this class. Good head, strong foreface, small dark eye, good reach of neck, correct shoulder placement, deep brisket, strong rear quarters, in good coat & colour, best of legs & feet;

2 Hardy’s Miteymidgets Carleon Cove, similar make & shape to 1 but not quite the head of 1. Strong foreface, dark eye & good mouth, good front, shapely rear which she uses well on the move keeping her shape as always from this breeding;

3 Lacey’s Bowling Brook My Blue Heaven.

LB (9,3)

The first three were of similar make & shape & I am sure will change places.

1 Wharton-Smith’s Miteymidgets Shooting Star, attractive blue, in good coat & colour, long lean head, small dark eye, good reach of neck, correct shoulder placement, shapely rear, moves well keeping her shape;

2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Matilda, similar to 1, good coat, length of head, fine ears, correct lay of shoulder, deep brisket, strong rear quarters which she used well;

3 Welsh’s Wudrusjuk Work Of Art.

OB (6,1)

1 Graham’s Ruffsfurze Mavrodaphne, attractive blue who can play her handler up at times but today decided to behave herself. Moves with drive keeping her shape which won her the day. She is difficult to fault. Good length of head, small dark eye, fine ears, reachy neck leading to super lay of shoulder, nice length of body, strong rear quarters, low hocks, covers the ground well when standing. CC;

2 Yearley’s well known Ch Gnejnabay Gal at Lowbrook, attractive liver with all the essentials, lovely make & shape, good mover keeping her topline. Just preferred driving action of 1;

3 Bannister’s Miteymidgest Myaquila.
