BEDLINGTON JUDGE CRUFTS 10

A very pleasing entry with some good quality dogs. Mouths & feet were generally very good although a lot of feet were very hairy between the pads & some teeth were very dirty. It was good to see so many overseas exhibitors who had entered some very well bodied & strong boned dogs. The trimming is very different but underneath there were some fine examples of the breed.

VD (3)

1 Yearley’s Lowbrook Lambent Laurel, good strong fit dog in excellent coat, dark eye, strong tapering neck set into well laid back shoulders, deep brisket, low tailset, moved & showed well;

2 Bannister’s Ch Moltyke Taggles with Miteymidgets, another nice dog, not in the best of coats but correctly made & well bodied. Moved very well for a 12 year old;

3 Moore, Victorova & Bounden’s Tolpedn Fire Light Prince, good dog, nice clean head, good outline which was kept on the move. Just did not drive as well as the others, but nothing really wrong with him.

PD (3)

1 Walters & Mitchell’s Rathsrigg Millrace, nicely made dog, good head, well boned with correct front, moved well with good bend of stifle, a good well balanced dog showing lots of promise;

2 Owen’s Bisbee Beachcomber, very similar to 1, in very good coat, nicely presented, moved & showed well;

3 Bouse’s Tredomen Dixie.

PGD (8,1)

1 Palmer & Roberts’ Jetsway Captain Morgan, good lean head, good front, deep flat ribs, low tailset, in good coat, moved & showed well;

2 Colley’s Burmington Jack Bojangles, good dog, not in the best of coats but correctly made with good front & pleasing outline with good tailsetp;

3 Birkhead’s Cassdenal Dream Maker, well made dog, correctly made & showed well. Just not as fit as the other two, but good presentation.

LD (8,1)

1 Ames Sharnor Blue Diamond, nicely balanced dog with good keyhole front & well laid back shoulders, in good coat with roach over the loin, moved well & kept its outline on the move, well presented;

2 Walshaw’s Janmark Blue Encounter, good long clean head, strong neck & deep flat ribs, good tailset, moved & showed well;

3 Baldwin’s Woolytop Lucky Star, another good dog, well boned & fit. Well presented & handled, moved well.

OD (10)

1 Piraube’s Fr/Swiss/Int Ch Almasy’s Blue Heaven, what a super dog, good head & neck, correct shoulders, deep flat ribs, good tuck up, well boned with good tailset. A little heavy on the trimming but the best dog here today. CC & BOB;

2 Kiernan & Liu’s Bisbee Boy Wonder, good dog, clean head, dark eye, good bend of stifle, well set tail, well trimmed & handled. RCC;

3 Yearley’s Ch Lowbrook Llaffan, just lost out on movement but a very good liver dog. Correct shoulders & bend of stifle, good tailset, but not the best of coats today. Well presented.

GCD (2)

1 Caines’ Burmington And Me Too, up to size liver dog, good well made masculine dog. Not in good coat & tended to flatten a bit on the move;

2 Colley’s Burmington Jack Bojangles, a younger less mature dog who just need a little more work. Well handled.

VB (7)

1 Villot’s Fr/Bel/Lux/Sp/Port/Mona/Swiss/Gib/Int Ch Almasy’s Purdey Blue, good long head with dark eyes, strong front with deep chest, pleasing outline with low set tail, a good strong bitch without coarseness, moved & showed well;

2 Taylor’s Ch Swiftstream Inkahoots with Uptnorth, well balanced feminine bitch. Would have liked a little more bend of stifle. Kept her outline on the move & showed well;

3 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Myaquila, similar to 2 with nice set shoulders, in good coat. Just lacked a little drive.

PB (3)

1 Owen’s Bisbee Belle Inni, lovely little bitch in good coat, correct front with well laid shoulders, strong but feminine head & shoulders. Moved quite well just needs to settle. BP;

2 Bouse’s Tredomen Maggie May, very young bitch just needs to body up a little but moved & showed well;

3 Worrall’s Bisbee Everlasting Life with Bluesmurf, similar to 2, not in such good coat & needs to tighten up in front.

JB (4,1)

1 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Truffles, nice liver bitch, narrow head, good front leading to deep chest, good roach & low tailset, handled & moved well;

2 Horsewood’s Aireveiw Special Print, very close to 2, just not quite as well bodied. Moved well;

3 Herbert’s Misty Blue Topaz, in good coat, although a little too much of it, & tended to flatten on the move.

PGB (17,3)

1 Thompson’s Jetsway Absolut Bling, well balanced bitch in good coat, alert expression, nice dark eye & good teeth, strong but still not coarse, good flat ribs & pleasing outline, well presented;

2 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Hawkers Cove, strong feminine bitch in good coat, good head & front, good length of back, moved well & kept outline on the move, close to 1;

3 Phillips’ Cassdenal Serendipity, very similar again but just not as strong in head. Still a good little bitch, who moved & showed well.

LB (12,1)

1 Gammella’s Colacona Unforgettable Mrs Joan, good head & teeth, correct keyhole front, good deep ribs & bend of stifle, low set tail & good outline which was kept on the move, moved & handled well;

2 Gammella’s Colacona Vivien Leith, well made bitch in good coat. Just not so well bodied but moved very well;

3 Welsh’s Wudrusjuk Work Of Art, very similar to 2, good head & front, nice flat ribs, good roach & low set tail. Tended to look heavier than it was, but moved well.

OB (15)

1 Cedric’s Port/Mont/Sp Ch Catch Me If Can Of Celtic Odyssey, super bitch, well boned & bodied, lovely expression, dark eye & strong teeth, deep flat ribs & good arch over loin, low tailset with good bend of stifle. Tnded to look heavy with a lot of coat but a fine bitch which moved & showed well. CC;

2 Morrice’s Ch Mollora Fancy Pants, very feminine bitch in good coat, fine head with dark eye & strong teeth, correct front with good flat ribs, tail well set & kept good profile on the move, showed well. RCC;

3 Villot’s Fr Ch Almasy’s Cherry Chupa Chups, very similar just seemed a little heavier in the loin, but a very nice bitch which moved & showed well.

GCB (4)

1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Tetrarch, good long head & tapering neck, correct front & flat ribs with nice length of back, well balanced & moved well;

2 Collier’s Miteymidgets Cruiser at Pocoblu, well balanced bitch in good coat, good shoulders & well arched loin with low tailset, showed & handled well;

3 Shorrock’s Rotherview Isadora, a little finer than 2 & not in the best of coats today but well trimmed & handled.
