The Australian Terrier Club of Great Britain
Championship Show 17/07/2022

Judge Mr. Colin Powell.

It was an honour and a pleasure to be asked and judge this show, entries are small which gave me a break from my own breed, with today’s economic climate the entries are falling in all breeds across the board. The dogs I judged were of quality and of good breed type and also nice to judge some of the older ones I’ve judged before. Weather was hot but the room was comfortable for the exhibitors and their dogs. Would like to thank my steward Peter whom made the show run smoothly and we were finished in good time, so not a real problem with the heat on the day. J/B (1a) and then nothing till L/D

1st Cawdell-Owen & McCourt, SILHILL SUPER TROUPER, Red. A young dog of quality that is maturing nicely, all things in the right place, very good in profile, clean out-lines, head of correct proportions, used ears well, keen and alert considering he was on his own, good neck and shoulder placement, level top-line which he kept on the move, quarters developing well for his age, nice angulations and good tail set, in good condition, moved very well, true both ways. Close for Res CC lost out on maturity today but his time will come.

Eye catching dog I liked a lot, nice rich tan to him, very good furnishings, strong, mature and fiery, good head with keen expression, good ears on flat skull, dark eyes correct bite with good pigmentation, well bodied, and strong quarters, moved well covering the ground with ease, would like a bit harsher coat and to drop some weight I for gave this as he is a structurally sound dog, Res CC.

A nice type of dog with plenty of bone and substance to him, strong head of good proportions, good ears and dark eyes, good bite, well ribbed and good strong thigh’s, just as fiery as the second place both had a put to in the ring, in good coat and moved well once settled down.
